Really interesting castle with well placed and informative signs. The kids enjoyed it (though obviously lots of steps), and there's clearly room for further development. The tea room serves lovely cake, and the garden whilst not yet open to the public will I'm sure be a welcome addition

This is a family heritage castle and going to see it for the first time was incredibly inspiring. It is very rich in history, one of the best examples of a clan castle in the region and very well preserved thanks to the Menzies Clan Society's hard work and dedication to our past. Bias aside, I highly recommend a visit. You won't find a better intact clan castle in Scotland.

Really this deserves 5 stars as a walk and place to visit... But the hotel and golf is closed. The walk through the grounds is lovely though and castle very impressive. Well recommended and a great place for a picnic.

The castle and golf course is not open for business but the picnic by the river, watching fly fishermen was so serene, absolutely beautiful and relaxing.
